What you’ll do will depend on the role you fill and the department you work in during your time as a volunteer. We’ll work with you to understand your best fit and we’ll match that to our volunteer needs. We have opportunities at several locations and departments, including, but not limited to: front desk/ greeter, the cancer center, gift shop, emergency services, No One Dies Alone program volunteer, pet therapy, and more.
To become a Bassett Healthcare Network volunteer, you’ll need to complete our application and onboarding process. This includes a background check, compliance training, and health clearance. Our onboarding team will work closely with you on each of these steps. We’ll also have a conversation with you to understand your interests, questions, desired location, and availability. When these steps are complete, we’ll provide you with a brief orientation to ensure you’re ready for your volunteer role!
